| Agronomists/Crop Specialists | Degree/Diploma with 2 years experience |
| Beekeepers | Relevant qualification or certificate with 1 year experience |
| Environmentalists | Degree with 2 years experience |
| Fisheries Advisers | Degree with at least 1 year research or aquaculture/capture experience or 2 years capture fish farming experience |
| Food/Post-Harvest Technologists | Degree/Diploma with 2 years experience |
| Foresters | Degree with 2 years experience, preferably with some community work experience |
| Horticulturists | Degree/Diploma with 2 years experience or certificate with 2 years experience |
| Livestock Specialists | Degree/Diploma with 2 years experience |
